Our Story
BCI was founded in 2002, (whose name was Quicken Minds Outreach, Inc.) saw a great need for quality community support services. BCI is a 501(C)3 community, faith-based outreach organization training to eliminate poverty to improve the quality of living for individuals, families and community serving Jacksonville, FL and worldwide. Over the years, we have grown and expanded our services to meet the needs of our community. BCI vision is to obliterate poverty through education, job training, mental health, health & fitness, legal and financial resources, personal development and empowerment workshops, which leads to better communities and stronger individuals and families. BCI has provided services for over 22 years and have been able to accomplish its mission by empowering impoverished individuals, family, and communities through educational tools, employability training, trade skills, financial assistance, shelter and food, legal document assistance, healthy/fitness initiatives, and financial economic training collaborative with small businesses in career development and workshops. BCI is known as the "one stop resource center" that continues to improve poverty and crime-stricken neighborhoods with care.
